It’s rare to find a nonprofit organization that doesn’t hold one, or many, special events yearly. The key to success comes when you identify the goal for the event, assess if the event is the right tactic to meet the goal identified (or if another fundraising tactic would reach greater success and prove a better use of limited resources), and conduct post evaluations to determine the event’s success based on those goals.

This workshop provides the information needed to assure that your nonprofit is clear on your special events’ intended goal and prepared to evaluate their success in light of those goals.

You will learn how to:

  • Assess if a special event is the best method to reach fundraising/volunteerism/marketing goals
  • Consider Opportunity Cost
  • Evaluate third party requests to host a special event
  • Recognize the major tasks required to execute a special event
  • Evaluate where to splurge and where to save on costs
  • Evaluate the special event’s success

Tuition: $70 Members, $140 Non-members
